Abstract
From Dec. 1989 to Jan. 1990, we studied bacterial sensitivity to Augmentin in Korea Veterans Hospital.
The bacteria studied during these period were 89 strains of G(+) groups (6 speci - - ) and 164 strains of G(-) groups (27 species).
The results were asas followed.:
1. Augmentin has an excellent effect on G(+) strains of except(+)Stapylococcus.
2. Augmentin has an excellent effect on G(-) strains as Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp. and intermediate effect on Enterbacter, Acinetobacter and E. coli.
3. Augmentin sensitivity to Ampicillin resistant G(+) cocci were 18.5% in coagulase(+)
Staphylococcus, 69.25 in coagulase(-) Staphylococcus, 71.4% in Streptococcus viridans, 100% in B-hemolytic .Streptococcus and 75% in Enterococcus.
